In development

Trividha

Sanskrit for threefold. An app for Indian classical dance schools, built around the three people involved in a student's progress — the teacher, the student, and the parent — each seeing exactly what they need.

Guru

Teacher

Runs the class and sees everything: who came, who practised, who has been quietly falling behind.

  • Mark attendance for a class in a few taps
  • Set homework and watch the videos that come back
  • Track fees paid and outstanding, by hand, no card processing
  • Message a parent about one student without a group chat

Shishya

Student

Sees what to practise this week and what they have already done. Nothing else.

  • Read this week's homework
  • Record and submit a practice video from a phone
  • Watch their own practice streak build
  • See where they stand on the class practice board

Poshaka

Parent

Knows what is going on without having to ask their child or interrupt the teacher.

  • See attendance and practice at a glance
  • Confirm or explain an absence in advance
  • Check what has been paid and what is due
  • Message the teacher directly

Why we are building it

A dance school runs on things that are hard to hold in your head: who practised, who missed two weeks in a row, who still owes for February. Most of it currently lives in a spreadsheet and three different message threads.

Built for how these schools actually run

Small rosters, family payments, homework that is a video of a child dancing in a living room. Trividha assumes all of that instead of bending a generic studio product around it.

Practice is the thing being measured

Attendance is easy to record and tells you little. The app is built around what happens between classes, because that is where the difference between students actually appears.

Private by default

Practice videos are visible to the student, their parent, and their teacher. There is no public feed and nothing to share outward.

Where it is right now

Trividha is in active development and not yet open. It is being built and tested against Nartanaalaya first, so that the first version fits a real school rather than an imagined one. When it opens to other schools, this page will say so.

If you run a dance school and want to try it early, say hello.
